After completing their luxurious summer home on Nantucket, this young family called Dujardin Design Associates to design their new city apartment, adapting it to life in the 21st century. The 10-room, 3,500 square foot duplex, located in a landmark Park Avenue building, retained all the opulent moldings and detailed millwork installed a century ago by its original architects, George and Edward Blum. Working closely with the New Haven, CT-based architectural firm Mitchell Studio, DDA sought to update the elegant duplex for the lives of a young family, while retaining the old world grace and beautiful architectural details of high society in 1912.
